Battle of the BEST! 

RULES for the BOTB Train:

• Select one standout item for auction, beginning at just $1. Other items can be pre-loaded for Buy It Now.  There is no adding to the auction once it has started.  You will be disqualified.  If you want to add to your bundle, it must be pre-approved by ceegee_boomerang_echo in writing.  Please email or send a message to her for approval. 

• NO BUNDLES 

• NO "Choice" Battle Items.  Battle Items Must Be One Item - "Choice" is not allowed and will disqualify seller from competition. 

• Items considered "sets" are acceptable (i.e. set of salt & pepper, set of book series, set of dishes, etc.)  If you're unsure, please email CeeGee at boomerangecho@gmail.com for confirmation.

• Include at least one giveaway in the Giveaway section of your store min $5 value NO STICKERS - NO EPHEMERA.  NO "CHOICE" Giveaways.  This is a fast paced train and there is no time to wait for a winner to tell you their choice of item.  

• If interest is high, sellers may be limited to participate in no more than 3 months in a row. This will be at the discretion of ceegee_boomerang_echo.  If this is put in place, it will be announced ONE MONTH prior to going into effect. After one skipped month, sellers may sign up again.

• Each seller may register for only one slot to allow more sellers to participate. 

• Schedule your show on Whatnot immediately after signing up, ensuring you set the correct time zone - Sign ups are in EASTERN.

• MOD: ceegee_boomerang_echo & tlcmamabear 

• Please note: MODS and FAMILY are NOT allowed to enter giveaways or bid on BATTLE item. They can purchase from the BIN and gift to chat.  If you have others modded in your show or have family memebers viewing your show,  please make sure they are aware of this rule.  If we see any MODS or family members entering your giveaways or bidding on your battle item, you will be disqualified from winning.  A warning will be given for first time offense, if it happens again, you will no longer be able to join Battle of the Best.

• DO promote your future shows and encourage viewers to follow & bookmark!
  Do NOT promote same-day shows that overlap with the train event, as it may divert viewers from the train and negatively impact fellow sellers.  Events like these rely on teamwork, and all sellers deeply appreciate your support. If you're benefiting from this event, kindly consider avoiding simultaneous streaming to support your fellow sellers. Your consideration and support fosters a stronger community!

• We want all viewers and buyers to enjoy the train.  Please refrain from discussing politics, religion or things of a sexual nature.

• Keep in mind some viewers and buyers have allergies.  It is strongly encouraged to avoid having pets or animals in your show.

• Please avoid going live from your car, on the road, "on location" or anywhere the connection may be spotty. 

• Have Your Battle ITEM Posted by Wednesday, March 26, 2025 and ready for Preview Show - March 28, 2025.  Sellers that DO NOT have their item posted by this deadline may lose their spot on the train.   

Prepare for the Battle of the BEST and Your 10-Minute Spotlight:

• List your "Battle ITEM" in the Auction section of your store. Make sure to include a photo, a creative title, and a captivating story about its history, its origin, where it was found, or why you've chosen it as your special "Battle ITEM."

• Load additional items into the Buy It Now section of your store.

• Spread the word and promote your "Battle ITEM" during other shows to collect pre-bids. Creating a buzz around your unique piece may help you take home the trophy!

On the Day of the Event:

• Begin your show 1-2 minutes before your scheduled start time, to check BIN, lighting, sound and auction Item.

• Pin your BATTLE ITEM auction.

• Upon receiving the raid, be ready to introduce yourself - (MUST BE FORWARD FACING for introduction)- run a giveaway, and showcase any Buy It Now items. Pin your BATTLE item and run your auction. Run your BATTLE item within the first 5 Mins to allow time for payment issues, raiding issues or general WHATNOT problems. There is no adding to the auction once it has started.  You will be disqualified.  Please get pre-approval from ceegee_boomerang_echo (in writing) before changing or adding to your battle item. 

• We recommend running the auction for 2 minutes to accommodate participants with pre-bids or auction reminders.

• You will have 10 MINUTES.  If you have time left after you've run your BATTLE ITEM, you may run things out of your BIN or run other auctions.  Be sure to talk about future shows and mention special events you have coming up.  DO NOT PROMOTE any other shows happening during the BOTB train event.  Doing this will disqualify you from future BOTB. 

Join Us at the End of the Event:

• Stay for the announcement of the Battle of the BEST winner: The seller with the highest bid for their item will be awarded "Best in Show" for Battle of the BEST.

• The "Best in Show" winner will receive a trophy and bragging rights to proudly share and display during future live-streams.

• In the event of a tie, we have a plan in place to determine the winner.

WINNER REQUIREMENTS & PRIVILEGES

• WINNERS are expected to be available for CO-Hosting at the end of the train to accept their award. 

• Winners will be invited back and must be available DECEMBER 28, 2025 for the final Battle of the Year to compete and see who is the BEST of the BEST.

• The TOP 4 Runner UP SELLERS from each BATTLE will receive FIRST PRIVATE VIP invites to the next months BATTLE.
